HEC

HEC is a non-ionic, water-soluble polymer derived from cellulose through a series of chemical and physical processes.

HEC is a white to light yellowish, oderless and tastless powder, readily soluble in hot or cold water to form a viscous gel solution. When pH in solution is within 2 to 12, the solution is quite stable.

But HEC molecule is capable of generating esterification, etherification and acetal reaction, so it is possible to make it insoluble in water or improve its properties. HEC also has good film-forming ability and surface activity.

HEC is used as agents of dispersing,water-holding, thickening, suspending, film-forming, stabilizing etc.For example,in emulsion coating,it plays a role of dispersing and protecting gels,enhancing reaction stability of agglomerate system,ensuring homogeneous distribution of pigment and stuffing, and providing effect of thickening, improving fluidity.In petroleum exploitation,it is used as stabilizer and thickening agent, lubricating agent for well drilling,completing and consolidating to give slurry a good fluidity and stability.In building construction,used as thickening agent and cohesive agent to improve the fluidity and workability,increase initial gelling strength and avoid cracking. Used in brushing and cohering plaster,it may obviously raise water-holding and coherence strength.Used in daily-use articles such as toothpaste it gives the article a good physical and chemical property,making it good in shape,long period of storage, hard be dry and permeated.In skin and hair protective articles,it can increase material density, adding lubrication and smoothness.Besides,it finds wide application in ink, textile dyeing & printing,paper making, pharmaceuticals, food, agriculture,forestry etc.

Product production process

HPMC is produced from refined cotton through an alkaline etherification process. Firstly, the refined cotton is crushed and then mixed with sodium hydroxide solution for low-temperature soaking and stirring to form alkaline cellulose for activation. Then, two etherifying agents, chloromethane and propylene oxide, were added to the activated alkali cellulose. Under certain temperature and pressure, the reaction was stirred to generate crude HPMC. Finally, the crude product is neutralized with hydrochloric acid, washed with hot water or organic solvents to remove impurities, and then dried, crushed, screened and packaged as the finished product.

Product production process

The company's products have passed the ISO9001, ISO14001 and ISO45001 quality system certifications, and have also obtained the EU RoHS and REACH certifications. They are insured by the People's Insurance Company of China.

1. HPMC can be packaged in 25 kg bags, with an inner plastic liner and an outer polypropylene woven bag.

2. This product is hygroscopic, so it should be sealed and stored in a dry and cool place below 35°C.

3. The solid product should be prevented from scattering on the ground because the hygroscopic powder can cause slipperiness.
